About Me

Hey! My name is Christ and this is my blog Wardan Got the Goods.

I remember when people asked me ‘What do you want to do when you grow up?’ I would always reply: ‘I just want to help people’.

This has remained the same through the multitude of careers that I’ve done, there’s always been a component where I’m helping someone. Whether, I was selling them the greatest new tech so they can start their business, or find the perfect suit for their daughter’s wedding. Providing someone your knowledge and expertise is a form of value. That’s when I feel that I’ve accomplished something bigger than me. Sure, a commission was great, but that’s not what I do it for. Walking away from an interaction knowing that you’ve provided all your knowledge and experience to help them make the right decision is form of payment.

My blogging story – here’s how I got introduced to the thought that reviews actually provide value to the public. One day my cousin showed me his Google account and the number of views he had accumulated from food reviews. The first thing I thought was “Wait what? Why would people read his food reviews?” But, the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. People want see what kind of food a restaurant serves, how does the environment look like, how does the food taste, what’s the cost, what to order, what not to order and my favourite – secret menu items!

So, I decided to give it a try. After opening my Google account, I started to review restaurants, experiences and places to visit and I’ve amassed over 3.5 Million reviews (screen shot below). What I love most about it is how raw and unfiltered the process is – it goes straight from my phone to the internet. As a Google contributor, my reviews help people make decisions and provide a sneak peak as to what to expect – now that’s providing value!

My professional career – The bulk of my career has been spent being a Sales Professional. Although, I’ve also worked in Technical support, Home Painting and renovations. My career in sales started when I was knocking on doors helping my Dad kickstart his Home Painting business. After feeling the thrill of closing a client with my Dad, I chased that feeling in different jobs. Working at Old Navy as a sales rep to working my way up to corporate sales and landing a job as a Sales Executive at one of the top IT companies in the world. My core goal has never changed – help people in anyway way possible.

Wardan Got the Goods is built on the foundation of providing value. Through my 10 years of being a Sales Professional it’s important that you stand behind products that you recommend. People are coming to me because they trust me. My trust is my band. One of the great things about having a blog is the freedom to try out and compare various products without being tied to a single brand. This enables me to put myself in my client’s shoes and think like them. After, I do have a life outside of work! My blog is based on my personal hobbies such as hiking, camping, sports, technology, my dog and many more!

Now, how does this transfer into blogging? Well, this blog is designed to do just that! My experience with products and testing will ultimately be a deciding factor on whether you should buy something or not! I take my reviews seriously and if I don’t stand by a product, then I won’t recommend it. My job is to provide you as much detail as possible so you can make the right decision for yourself!

Welcome to my Blog and I hope you find what you’re looking for 😉
